Ha ha...Been almost a month!! I'm impressed with myself. Here's why. Cause I was seriously addicted to the computer. It was sickening. Now I'm actually reading books, and I have a /tan/. No more white glowy crap. ^^

Summer traveling. You got to love it. Been to El Paso, went to CO for a music festival...yep. It's all pretty legit. I'm going back to CO next week...^^ Ha ha! AND I got a tripod. Summer birthdays also have an advantage. What with school starting soon, I can almost feel the life being sucked out of summer. But I get to take art classes. So its all cool.

Not much of a journal. ^^ Mostly cause I've been doing other stuff besides photoshop, but it's all cool. It's a healthy balance I think. MMM speaking of which I think I'll go get some vitamin D.

Yet another journal.

I went to the local bioparks, and took a ton of pictures. The botanical gardens, aquarium, and zoo - all in one day. After oodles of pictures and a lovely sunburn, PHOTODUMP! ^^ You all get to put up with it.

It started pouring while we were at the zoo (I went with a fellow photographer) and thanks to a tip I'd read, I had plastic bags ready. Place it over your camera, and you can keep shooting while your camera stays dry. Fancy smancy equipment...okay. I won't say my eye, cause I'll probably buy it someday. Lol. Anyway - My spiel - To my fellow photographers. I'm here, and posting, and taking pictures, cause I want to get better. I also read books, and go online to find out what to do better. Read Scott Kelby. If you've never heard of this guy, he's amazing. And he will open a lot of doors - other people, great tips... If you /have/ heard of him, then you know of the awesomeness that I'm talking about. Scott Kelby. Read him.

There you go. My photo dump of random flowers, animals...the whole thing. And a good photographer who gives great advice (he even has a photoshop podcast...but don't get me started, cause then I sound like a bloody nerd.)

Ha ha...Learn something new everyday.

I was talking to a friend earlier, and I was talking about how when it's cloudy or the weather is dark, it's one of the better times to shoot foilage or flowers. His reply was really? I'll have to remember that! (He's going into the navy. I doubt he'll be holding a camera any time soon. But he can impress somebody with his photography knowledge.) So I taught somebody something. Now it was my turn to learn something.

1) The little message thing at the top of my screen? Yah. I should click on that more often. I think I clicked on that for the first time in my /almost/ 5 months...and lo and behold I discovered several things. That people have added my pictures to favorites, that people have sent me comments...Who knew? NOT ME! Go Seferino! ha ha...So!!! Thanks to anyone who has added something of mine to a favourite, ever viewed my page, or sent me a message, and Miss Oblivious over here, had no freakin clue. ^^

2) Last time I had no clue in hell what to title my journal cause I didn't know what I titled them, and didn't feel like saving and then starting again. Note to self. Look at the convienantly placed 'Journal History' and just see previous titles. DUH. So. I've learned two new things. Imagine that.

Anyway. There you have it. AND this is like, a new journal after only, what? Two days or something?? *mind boggles* I must be sick...or sleep deprived.

I should know what journal number it is right? Like...three or four...Ha ha. Epic fail and I haven't even started the journal. Way to go Seferino! *high five*

So. With graduation...comes graduation money. ^^ And one of my besties encouraged me to not only get back into writing, but into drawing as well. But I decided that I would start with a manga twist, and then work back to realistic (cause that's what turned me off last time). So for the past month, I've been developing my characters, and working on my drawing. I've spent days looking at techniques and tutorials, and learning how to draw things that I felt necessary to my collection of skills.

Of course it doesn't hurt that I have an awesome new laptop with a fabulous screen...a tablet...and CS4. Oh yah. The past month has been stellar. And what have I done? LOL. All this time on DA and not one update. And my camera gets plenty of use. With the selftimer and no photography work. Very boring...But it's cloudy right now, so I'm gonna go take pictures as soon as I finish this journal. ^^ Woot.

So before I go, and I forget (short term memory and being blonde does that to you) I want to thank all of the DA users, and all the tutorials I may have used in the recent works. All of them are amazing. I get so many ideas and helpful hints, you have no idea. It's ridiculous. Plus I learn about PS along the way.

With that, the flowers await, my updates are impatient to begin...and here we go!

It's been almost two months since I've last been on my page, sad to admit. I've been off and on the site visting lots of other pages and browsing lots - but I haven't updated. Part of it I guess comes from having gone away from drawing and sketching and whatever, and also not having as much time to play with my digital art. I am graduating this year, so life is just hectic. I spend most of my time not knowing if I'm coming or going.

And I've gotten back to working on my novels. I should say my nanowrimo novels. Whether I'll ever be a novelist or a writer or whatever, that is up in the air. But I enjoy writing, and role playing as well - and coming up with characters. But where my role playing buddies will draw their characters for better visualization, I just go into almost painful detail about mine. So that's where life is right now. Waiting with baited breath for me to catch up with my characters as they leave on the next adventure without me, and more pictures go whizzing by and my camera lenscap is still on.

But thats how I roll anyway.
